O, Hi O

During our trip to the great state of Nebraska we decided to visit our friend Adam who lives in Toledo, Ohio. He’s a vicar at Salem Lutheran Church and is enjoying his vicarage year doing ministry in the heart of the city. I expect that the differences between Toledo and Genoa, NE are notable, but perhaps I can write about this with more certainty AFTER I visit Nebraski.

Adam was telling us about his Sunday service as well as a Tuesday service that follows a community meal. Apparently the community meal really touches on a need in the community—very cool! So awesome things are happening here at the first and the oldest Lutheran Church in Toledo.

Tomorrow we head from urban ministry to rural ministry—of course it’ll be a 13 hour trip in the process. Perhaps we can get some good pork tenderloin on the way!
