We’re welcomed back to the state of Pennsylvania with rain and a 3.90 toll. Does that amount seem odd to anyone else?
We’re somewhere in the middle of Ohio now, taking a quick pit stop. Looks like if we’re lucky, we’ll make it home by four.
We heard the cells of Notre Dame ring and now we are off on another day’s journey
Passing the Iowa 80 truck stop. Six hours down, four to go—for today!
It is a brisk morning and we are on the road loaded with souvenirs, gifts and other surprises we are sure
cows, corn and BIG learning curves!
The other day I was invited to go feed cows. Cool. This is where the learning curve begins (it is very low on the charts.) We’re getting ready for our first worship service here at Augustana. Sarah will be preaching and I’m playing some guitar. Should be great!

At one time there were 30,000 Pawnee in the county. In the late 1870s the Pawnee were having many issues with the area...
Central Time
This is the first time I’ve ever been in a different time zone.
I know, that’s a pretty big admission. Sarah’s been as far west as Seattle, but I’ve only been out to western Pennsylvania before this trip. And the time zone thing has always made me curious.
When you cross into the time zone, is there a sign? I didn’t see one, but I was also driving through a...
We have (finally!) arrived in beautiful Genoa Nebraska! More to come later. Now: Pizza!
